Paul Stowell – Testimonial

I am a pretty fit 59 year old who has played sport in various forms all my life. I had a manual job too which kept me fit. I developed a pain in my lower back and loss of feeling in my right leg at times twelve months ago. I suspect after lifting a large boulder in the garden. This persisted for a few months I eventually had a scan and was told that I needed surgery. I looked up Mr Pal after a lot of research and went to see him. He diagnosed the problem straight away L3 and L4 stenosis but he found a more serious problem higher up by chance that had never been diagnosed and didn't appear to be causing me any problem. It was between T11 and T 12. He said it was not really an option the surgery on the second area must be done to prevent me getting worse over time.

We decided to have both operations done together. Mr Pal was great he explained everything so both me and my family could understand and the risks involved. The surgery went well in his words a lot worse than expected but all was successful. Mr Pal came to visit me the next morning and subsequently followed up with phone calls once I had returned home to check everything was ok. 

He is an exceptional man who really cares about what he does and his patients. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone. 

I am home now convalescing which is hard when you have been active all your life but I am doing what I'm told for once in my life.
