After 2 years of being under the care of a Manchester neurosurgeon I was told I was inoperable. Being on crutches and in extreme pain I sought a second opinion and was advised to see Dr Deb Pal at Spire Leeds. Dr Pal quickly reviewed my case and said he was willing to carry out a laminectomy at L4 and L5 even though I am 81 years old. Surgery was carried out on the 17th November and was the best decision I have ever made. After 5 months I am back on my feet and walking without support for several miles.
